Residential building thermal environment test and thermal comfort investigation in Kunming area in summer

Tests indoor thermal environment parameters in two hundred residences, and conducts a questionnaire investigation. Analyses the distribution frequencies of indoor air temperature, relative humidity, air velocity and occupant clothes thermal resistance. Obtains the situation of indoor thermal environment and human thermal comfort. Analyses the measures for improving indoor thermal environment. The investigation results show that the residents universally make use of natural ventilation to lower indoor temperature through opening windows, and thermal sense of about 90 percent of residents is in the range of comfort in the condition without air conditioning.
